We are seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our client's team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role involves managing payroll processes, maintaining records, and collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth payroll operations. Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage payroll preparation and processing
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the administrative software system.
• Collaborate with internal departments and new hires
• Process yearly W-2 forms
• Respond to inquiries regarding payroll, processes, policies, and leave, providing clarity and resources to employees
• Maintain HRIS data, monthly timecards, compliance tracking, and provide reports for salaries, position renewals, and staff head counts.
• Respond to employment verifications, W-2 and pay stub requests, and other payroll & tax related inquiries in a timely and confidential manner.
• Work in conjunction with HR Assistant to ensure payroll paperwork and I-9s are completed by newly hired staff and students.
Requirements
Prior payroll processing experience
Highly proficient within Microsoft Office Excel
Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience working within an HRIS or payroll system
