Description

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team located in Pinson, Alabama. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting functions, particularly within our Operational Accounting department. This role is crucial in overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, managing a high volume of invoices weekly, and contributing to overall financial management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and promptly.

• Manage a high volume of invoices weekly, keeping track of all payments and receipts.

• Utilize various Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions to streamline and automate accounting functions.

• Contribute to auditing and budget processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

• Utilize knowledge of standard and manufacturing cost accounting to provide insightful financial analysis.

• Ensure the accuracy of all customer credit records and handle customer credit inquiries as needed.

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly, taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Use ADP - Financial Services and Great Plains (GPAC) to manage financial data and report on financial performance.

• Collaborate with other departments, sharing knowledge and insights to support inter-departmental operations.

• Ensure all accounting functions comply with industry standards and company policies.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC)

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Background in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Understanding of Standard Cost Accounting

• Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting

• Proficiency in Cost Accounting
