Description We are in search of an Audit Staff - Public to join our team in the Tax Consulting sector, located in Cerritos, California. This role entails handling critical tasks such as processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions.
Responsibilities:
• Perform audit engagements as per the established guidelines and standards
• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate records and process customer credit applications
• Review financial statements of homeowners associations, individuals, and corporate partnerships, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date
• Collaborate with the team to prepare audit plans and programs
• Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax for tax-related tasks
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and handle inquiries in a timely manner
• Utilize your skills in accounting functions to ensure financial transparency and compliance
• Leverage your knowledge of Auditing to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the tax consulting industry
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential
• Must be capable of creating and implementing Audit Programs
• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax is required
• Expertise in handling Accounting Functions is a must
• Experience in Audit Engagements is necessary
• Proficient in Auditing and creating Audit Plans
• Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills are necessary
• Must hold a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is desired
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
