Description Robert Half is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with a desire to join a reputable company in the Credit Agencies - Other industry. You will be responsible for preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is based in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania with a company in the Credit Agencies - Other field. Your responsibilities in this role
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary Requirements - Strong time management skills preferred
Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Solid understanding of US GAAP
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
ERP system experience
