Job Description:

As an Associate Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our healthcare facility. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Registration: Register and pre-register patients with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring all necessary information is collected.

  • Insurance Verification: Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations for patients. Knowledge of all payers, including HMO, PPO, government programs, and commercial insurance.

  • Demographic Verification: Verify and update patient demographics in our system.

  • Financial Responsibility: Explain hospital policies, patient financial responsibilities, and patient rights to patients. Collect co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and other patient liabilities.

  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, ensuring their needs are met and questions are answered professionally and promptly.


  • Two or more years of experience in healthcare registration.

  • Knowledge of insurance verification, authorizations, and billing processes.

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Typing speed of 45 words per minute with 10-key touch.

  • Familiarity with various insurance payers, including HMO, PPO, Medicare, and Medicaid.

  • High school diploma or GED.
