Key Responsibilities:
Patient Identification: Verify and record accurate patient information.
Data Collection: Collect thorough demographic and medical history data.
Insurance Verification: Obtain and verify insurance details, including eligibility and benefits.
Financial Liaison: Determine and collect patient financial liabilities, and provide guidance on hospital policies and patient financial responsibilities.
Referral Duties: Refer patients to the Patient Registration Specialist for financial counseling and clearance as needed.
Compliance and Policy Adherence: Maintain adherence to organizational policies and procedures, ensuring resolutions for patient financial liabilities.
Patient Communication: Serve as an informative resource for patients and families by clearly explaining patient rights and responsibilities, and hospital policies.
Requirements
Proven customer service skills with a strong focus on patient care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in healthcare registration or similar roles is highly preferred.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Must be flexible with scheduling and available to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
High School Diploma/GED required.
