Robert Half Staff Accountant in Chantilly, Virginia
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Chantilly, Virginia. This role involves various accounting tasks and is perfect for those with a strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliation. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the payroll process, managing tax reports, and overseeing insurance audits, among other duties.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with payroll provider to ensure efficient and accurate bi-weekly payroll processing
• Oversee and manage 401k accounts
• Prepare and manage 1099, sales tax reports, and state personal property tax reports
• Organize, process, and manage payments for Accounts Payable (AP)
• Collaborate with the client services director on Accounts Receivable (AR) and reconciliations
• Manage yearly insurance audits
• Track and reconcile credit card transactions
• Undertake any additional accounting tasks as required
• Utilize software such as QuickBooks and MS Office to efficiently manage and track financial data. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger management
• Ability to record Journal Entries accurately
• Knowledge of Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
• Experience with Process Bi-weekly Payroll
• Familiarity with Form 1099
• Experience in Credit Card Reconciliation
