Robert Half Analyst in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Analyst that is fully remote. The company is based in Chapel Hill, NC and they do prefer the candidate to be in Chicago, NYC or Chapel Hill but open for the right candidate. The job function will primarily involve strategic financial analysis, with a focus on evaluating and executing corporate and business unit level mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and other corporate finance projects.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and quantitative modeling to identify arbitrage and relative value opportunities across various asset classes.

  • Analyze market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to inform investment decisions and generate alpha.

  • Collaborate closely with portfolio managers and research teams to develop and implement investment strategies that optimize risk-adjusted returns.

  • Produce detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, articulating investment thesis, risk factors, and performance attribution.

  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to anticipate market opportunities and risks.

• Evaluate and execute corporate and business unit level mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and other corporate finance projects.

• Develop and execute corporate strategic and financing alternatives and other high priority initiatives.

• Collaborate with and support senior management and business unit leaders with high level strategic projects.

• Screen, review, and execute potential strategic investments, including equity investments.

• Utilize advanced Excel formulas and investment financial modeling to support decision-making processes.

• Maintain a strong work ethic with the motivation to perform at the highest level independently.

• Show strong attention to detail and maintain accuracy in all tasks.

• Be proactive and solutions-oriented, innovating when necessary.

• Adapt quickly and appropriately in accordance with the constant evolution of the industry.

• Respond promptly to management’s needs and timing requirements.

• Foster a collaborative work environment, energized by the open exchange of ideas.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree in finance, economics, or related field.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a relevant discipline.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with Bloomberg terminal.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and model sophisticated investment strategies.

  • Previous experience in alternative investments, hedge funds, or investment banking is preferred.

  • CFA or similar certification is a plus, demonstrating expertise in financial analysis and investment management.

  • Must possess a strong work ethic, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment.
