Description
We are offering a part-time contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the healthcare sector, based in Charleston, South Carolina. The successful candidate will handle everyday cash and check deposits, manage incoming accounts payable invoices, and other non-medical revenue or billing tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Handle daily cash and check deposits accurately and efficiently
• Conduct online check deposits in our bank account
• Manage incoming accounts payable invoices
• Handle other non-medical revenue or billing tasks
• Utilize skills in Medical Billing, Medical Insurance, Medical Insurance Billing, and Medical Insurance Verification for relevant tasks
• Ensure efficient Cash Management and Posting Payments
• Conduct regular Check Runs
• Utilize ECW and bill.com software for relevant tasks
• Maintain professional communication with clients and colleagues
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare industry standards.
Requirements • Proficiency in Medical Billing and Medical Insurance
• Experience with Medical Insurance Billing and Medical Insurance Verification
• Knowledge of Cash Management
• Proficiency in Posting Payments and performing Check Runs
• Familiarity with Ecw software
• Experience with bill.com
• Understanding of accounting principles in a healthcare setting
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
• Prior experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry is advantageous.
