Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Charleston, South Carolina
Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in our construction industry by overseeing accounts payable, billing, and payroll. The role also involves diverse and spontaneous tasks, requiring supervision of 3-4 team members.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and efficiently manage accounts payable, billing, and payroll
• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records
• Utilize ADP - Financial Services for payroll processing
• Implement BlackLine software for finance controls and automation
• Use Concur for travel and expense management
• Apply ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for business process management
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status
• Process and maintain accurate customer credit applications and records
• Resolve customer inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction
• Supervise a small team of tenured employees, fostering a positive work environment
The role is based in an office setting but offers professional flexibility. The individual will handle a variety of tasks, making every day unique. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills in diverse areas of accounting and finance. Requirements
• Proficient with Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with BlackLine software
• Proficient in using Concur software
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Ability to perform all Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in Auditing procedures
• Experience with Billing Functions
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to lead and manage a team
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of state and federal financial regulations
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
