This role's duties will require you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

  • Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

  • Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

  • Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

  • Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

  • Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

  • Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

  • Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

  • Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

  • Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

  • Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks Requirements

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

  • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Proficiency in month end closings

  • Expertise in fixed assets

  • Recent and relevant accounting experience

  • Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Great attention to detail

  • Competent with spreadsheets and databases

  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred)

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
