Robert Half Accounting Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

If you can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, you might be right for this position. You will succeed in this position if you have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. Located in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, this Accounting Manager position would be on a permanent basis.
Major responsibilities
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met
Assemble various technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses
Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes designing systems and processes, migrating data, testing, training, and administrating
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable Requirements - Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Proficiency in basis costing
General ledger experience
Foundational knowledge in processing costing
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Project accounting experience required
Adeptness in month end closings
Cost accounting experience highly desired
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
