In this Accounting Manager role with a burgeoning, innovative company, it will be critical for you to take charge of daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. What you get to do every day:
Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts
Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Work closely with accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Lead and supervise the accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure close deadlines are met
Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Requirements
Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
Demonstrated knowledge of NetSuite
Reconciliations experience required
Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger
Payroll experience
Adeptness in Multi-state Tax
Expense reports experience
Strong familiarity with commission statements
3+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Solid technical skills
Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
