Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Charlotte, North Carolina
Description Are you an enterprising, strong Accounting Manager looking for an immediate position? Robert Half is currently hiring for a progressive company. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including maintaining the general ledger system, preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Ideally, you will be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. How you will make an impact
Command sufficient knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Regularly review and inspect balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Work alongside FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Assemble a variety of technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses
Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met Requirements - Deep understanding of CPA
Proven knowledge of Year-end Close
General familiarity with Monthly Financial Reports
Well-founded grasp of Prepare Financial Reports
Practical knowledge of general ledger
MRI experience required
Month-end Close Activities experience
Solid understanding of Asset Management Industry
Quality experience with general ledger
Foundational knowledge in month end closings
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Proven technical skills
Customer service oriented communication skills
Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
CPA/MBA preferred
