Description

Compensation: $130-150k + Bonus

Benefits: MDV, PTO

Work Arrangement: Full-time, permanent/direct hire

Schedule: Standard Hours, Onsite

Job Summary: The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities within the organization. This role will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, provide strategic financial guidance, and support the overall financial health of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and experience in the professional services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.

  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and ensure timely completion.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and investment strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations.

  • Collaborate with department heads to support their financial needs and ensure alignment with overall company goals.

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience in the professional services industry is strongly preferred.
