Description
We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales tax, income tax, use tax, and project accounting. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. As a Tax Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and supporting additional project accounting initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Manage and execute the preparation of sales tax, income tax, and use tax returns.
Conduct thorough research to stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information for tax reporting.
Analyze financial data and identify areas for improvement in tax-related processes.
Assist in the development and implementation of project accounting strategies.
Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax-related documents.
Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and resolve any issues that may arise.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during tax audits.
Provide support for special projects related to accounting and finance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Tax Accountant with a focus on sales tax, income tax, and use tax.
Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Experience in project accounting is highly desirable.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA certification is a plus.
