Robert Half Data Warehouse Consultant in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description

As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building out a greenfield data warehouse for our client in Charlotte, NC. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines and storage solutions. This role will require some on-site meetings in Charlotte, NC, to collaborate with the client's team and gather requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and data needs for the greenfield data warehouse project.

  • Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the data warehouse.

  • Develop data models and schema designs to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence needs.

  • Implement data quality and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within the data warehouse.

  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for performance and scalability.

  • Work closely with the client's team to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any issues or concerns.

  • Document technical specifications, processes, and configurations related to the data warehouse build-out.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during the implementation and testing phases of the project.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and data warehousing.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on building data warehouses and ETL processes.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL).

  • Experience with data modeling and schema design for data warehouses.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Java for data processing and automation.

  • Experience with data integration tools and platforms (e.g., Apache Spark, Talend, Informatica).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data requirements and design effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to travel to Charlotte, NC, for on-site meetings as needed.
