We are on the lookout for a strategic-minded individual to join our client's team in the Government Contracting industry as a Director of Finance. This role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and involves leading the Government Finance department, ensuring the company’s compliance with government contracting rules and regulations. The individual will provide strategic advice and develop programs to improve the effectiveness of processes and systems, ensuring compliance with U.S. government regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain indirect rate structure and computations across the company

• Develop, document, and recommend cost allocation methodologies in a multi-segment environment

• Oversee and approve CASB Disclosure Statement updates and incurred cost and forward pricing rate submissions, in line with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

• Monitor and maintain Accounting and Business System compliance following FAR requirements

• Serve as the primary liaison with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Corporate Administrative Contracting Officer (CACO)

• Oversee DCAA financial and business system compliance audits

• Develop company positions and prepare audit responses on audit and compliance issues

• Lead negotiations of forward pricing, provisional billing, and final incurred cost rates

• Act as a resource for providing advice on compliance matters pertaining to government contracts

• Recommend and implement techniques to enhance productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, seize opportunities, and maintain state-of-the-art financial practices

• Provide critical financial and compliance support to bidding and proposal teams on major proposals including risk assessments, cost rate verification, and proformas

• Develop policies and procedures for FAR / CAS-related areas

Requirements • Demonstrated expertise in Budget Processes

• Proficiency in Cash Flow Analysis

• Experience with Government Audits

• Knowledge of Government Filings

• Familiarity with DCAA rules and regulations

• Proven track record in managing Government Contracts

• Strong skills in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A)

• Prior experience in a VP/Director of Finance role or similar

• Relevant certification or degree in finance or a related field

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Proficiency in relevant financial software and applications

• Ability to develop and implement financial strategies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Adherence to ethical standards and compliance with relevant laws and regulations

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• High level of integrity and professionalism.
