Robert Half Front Desk Coordinator in Charlotte, North Carolina


We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Front Desk Coordinator in Charlotte, North Carolina. Working in the nonprofit industry, this role involves managing the front desk operations of a child development center. The coordinator will be the first point of contact for visitors and will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment. The role is part time 6 am to 10 am Monday to Friday.


• Open the center each day and manage the front desk operations until mid-morning.

• Provide administrative assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of the center.

• Handle a multi-line phone system, responding to queries and directing calls as required.

• Deliver concierge services to parents and visitors, providing relevant information and assistance.

• Offer excellent customer service, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.

• Perform data entry tasks, ensuring the accuracy of records.

• Utilize interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with parents, children, and staff.

• Use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word to manage administrative tasks effectively.

• Organize files and documents, maintaining an efficient filing system.

• Undertake receptionist duties, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and sorting mail.

Requirements • Proven experience in Administrative Assistance

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word

• Ability to handle Receptionist Duties effectively

• Experience in Answering Multi-Line Phone System

• Demonstrated skills in Organizing Files

• Prior experience as a Part-Time Receptionist is desirable

• Superior Interpersonal Skills for effective communication

• Proficiency in Data Entry tasks

• Ability to provide exceptional Customer Service

• Experience in offering Concierge Services

• Knowledge of front desk coordination and its essential tasks
