Robert Half Logistics Clerk in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description A client working with Robert Half is in need of a new Logistics Coordinator. You should be able to work with clients coordinating shipments as the Logistics Clerk. This position will include heavy data entry along with customer service skills. We need the person in this Logistics Clerk position to know how to take responsibility for the processing of customer orders, including coordination with vendors and arranging shipments.   • Perform various administrative duties

  • Supervise, pursue, and aid dispatch & progress of orders on time and to meet delivery requirements

  • Interact and correlate with inventory and sales management; warehouse; logistics for service changes

  • Follow-up with carriers, as necessary

  • Stick to guidelines for approving carriers

  • Verify freight bills and process bills of lading Requirements - Excellent data entry skills

    • A candidate who can demonstrate experience in purchasing, inventory control, transportation and warehousing functions will be in the top tier of candidates for this job
  • 2+ years' experience with shipping/logistics

  • Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation

  • Ability to complete general office work, operate basic office equipment, and route incoming materials

  • Command of Import Export

  • Experience with Transportation Logistics

  • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Comprehension of Supply Chain Logistics

  • Solid understanding of import customer service

  • Wide ranging experience with Typing Data Entry

  • Well-founded grasp of Computer Data Entry

  • Skills in Logistics Industry

  • Quality experience with Perform Data Entry

  • Good understanding of Global Logistics

  • Proven knowledge of Maintain Vendor Files

  • General familiarity with data entry

  • Log Files experience preferred

  • Maintain Files experience

  • Practical knowledge of numeric data entry

  • Earlier work involving Coordinate Logistics

  • Previous experience working with logistics
