Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Administrator to join our team and take responsibility for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of our company's computer networks. As a Network Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning and security of our network infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing network policies, troubleshooting network issues, and collaborating with other IT professionals to optimize network performance and maintain high levels of availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other network components to ensure reliable and efficient communication across the organization.

  • Configure and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

  • Monitor network performance and ensure proper functioning of all network resources, including servers, workstations, and peripherals.

  • Perform routine network maintenance tasks, such as backups, firmware upgrades, and patch management, to ensure optimal performance and security.

  • Identify and troubleshoot network issues, analyze network logs, and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve network outages or performance problems promptly.

  • Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and access control policies, to protect the organization's data and infrastructure.

  • Monitor and respond to network security alerts and incidents, conducting security audits and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify and address potential risks.

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of network infrastructure projects, including network expansions, upgrades, and migrations.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, procedures, and operational guidelines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT support, system administrators, and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of network services and resolve interdependencies.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network administration, and propose innovative solutions to improve network performance and security.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven work experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.

  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security concepts.

  • Hands-on experience with network equipment, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.

  • Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.

  • Familiarity with network security practices and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and other network protocols.

  • Experience with network performance optimization and capacity planning.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
