Where We Need You: 

The Charlotte  Office is seeking a Business Intelligence Senior Manager to join our growing team.

Senior Managers partner with our clients to solve complex business problems and provide best in class advice and solutions. Senior Managers have a solid understanding of their client’s business and demonstrate technical competence in their solution and industry. Senior Managers can clearly articulate the value drivers of our  business, and  are responsible for developing opportunities both at existing clients and new clients. Senior Managers are responsible for job economics and for ensuring seamless project management. Senior Managers are developing future contacts within the business community and serve as ambassadors of Protiviti in the market. 

What Will Help You Be Successful: 

  • As a Snowflake Data Architect, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and overseeing the implementation of a Snowflake data warehouses at client organizations. 

  • You enjoy leading technical decisions on all aspects of the corresponding Snowflake features

  • You enjoy developing data management architectures involving batch, micro-batch, and real-time streaming of data in both cloud and on-premise solutions; and own the architecture and design of Big Data Pipelines.

  • Experience in planning, designing, developing and maintaining the data architecture, data models and standards for various data warehousing projects in Snowflake. Focus on providing direction on the adoption of Cloud technologies (Snowflake) and industry best practices in the field of data warehouse architecture and modelling.

  • You enjoying staying up to date with new features and subject areas of Snowflake. You will help advise on new features to integrate with existing structures and provide a consistent view.

  • You are passionate about delivering client satisfaction and demonstrating a growing level of industry and product competency and  are able to  articulate their value to your clients. 

  • You understand the business environment and potential client base for your solution and industry. 

  • You seek opportunities to interact with and mentor personnel, including participating in the creation and rollout of training and developing skill sets.

    Do Your Talents Include the Following? 

  • Strong knowledge of cloud data warehouse and database systems

  • Deep technical level to successfully position and deploy Snowflake in customer environments

  • High-level of understanding on the AWS or Azure environment & tools

  • Extensive hands-on expertise with SQL and SQL analytics

  • Prior experience in implementing large-scale Snowflake databases

  • Prior experience in migrating data from traditional/cloud sources to Snowflake

  • Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles

  • Experience with non-relational platforms and tools for large-scale data processing ( e.g. Hadoop, HBase)

  • Familiarity and experience with common BI and data exploration tools ( e.g. Microstrategy, Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI)

  • In depth understanding of Snowflake Architecture including Snow SQL, Performance tuning, Compute and Storage

  • Experience in creating tables, partitioning, bucketing, loading and aggregating data using Snowflake

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Big Data model techniques

  • Should be able to troubleshoot problems across infrastructure, platform and application domains

  • Must have experience of Agile development methodologies

  • Provide resolution to an extensive range of complicated data pipeline related problems, proactively and as issues surface

  • Expertise in Snowflake advanced concepts like setting up resource monitors, RBAC controls, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning, Zero copy clone, time travel and understand how to use these features

  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management

  • Snowpro Core certifications are preferred (Core and specialty)

    Your Educational and Professional Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 

  • 8+ years in a related field; preferably in professional services and/or industry 

    Do You Love Exploring New Places? 

    We travel throughout the month frequently based upon client requests/commitments. Travel may include suburban, regional, or out of state locations.
