Description

We are providing a unique opportunity with a great, stable company located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is for a Senior Accountant who will be instrumental in managing and executing primary accounting duties across the company.

Responsibilities:

• Execute account reconciliations, balancing the company's ledger and ensuring accuracy of the financial statements.

• Handle balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining the integrity of financial records.

• Conduct bank reconciliations, verifying the company's cash position with that of the bank.

• Manage the company's general ledger, tracking all company transactions to ensure financial data accuracy.

• Prepare journal entries, documenting business transactions in the company's ledger.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze and visualize accounting information and trends.

• Coordinate the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of all monthly financial information.

• Address and resolve any issues during the accounting process, ensuring all financial information is recorded accurately.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an accountant

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Demonstrated experience with general ledger operations and journal entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month-end close procedures

• Must hold a relevant degree in accounting or finance

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred, not required

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations

• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills
