As a Senior Accountant, you will be tasked with financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary Requirements - Exceptional time management skills preferred
Well-founded grasp of Real Estate Assets
Proficiency in CPA Firm
MRI experience desired
Earlier work involving Public Accounting Audit
Proven knowledge of Real Estate Acquisitions
CPA experience
General familiarity with asset management
Commercial Real Estate Investment experience preferred
Real Estate Accounting experience
Practical knowledge of Asset Management Industry
Quality experience with general ledger
Wide ranging experience with Public Accounting
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
