Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Wholesale Distribution industry, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is integral to our team, where you will be managing essential accounting procedures and assisting in auditing work.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in the more critical and confidential aspects of accounting, ensuring transparency and efficiency in our financial operations.

• Oversee monthly journal entries to the General Ledger and ensure accurate account reconciliations.

• Drive the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported.

• Collaborate with other departments to implement solid accounting controls for improved financial management.

• Manage the Capital Expenditure to budget, providing regular internal and external reports.

• Assist in the annual budget planning process, providing key insights and forecasts.

• Act as a backup to the AP Supervisor when required, ensuring continuity in our financial operations.

• Manage the CIP movement and depreciation, collaborating with operations personnel for accurate accounting.

• Update the BNA software for fixed assets and ROU capital leases, ensuring accurate tracking and management of company assets.

• Utilize your proficiency with MS Office and Agility software program to manage and analyze financial data effectively. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Wholesale Distribution industry.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Demonstrated experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Knowledge and experience in fixed asset accounting, fixed asset depreciation, and fixed assets.

• Ability to prepare and post journal entries.

• Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
