Robert Half Systems Administrator in Charlotte, North Carolina
Description
We're in search of a talented Systems Administrator to join our dedicated IT team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing Windows environments, Office 365 services, server infrastructure, networking technologies, and VMware platforms.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and optimize Windows 10/11 systems to ensure peak performance and security compliance.
Handle Office 365 administration tasks, including user provisioning, email management, and collaboration tool support.
Oversee the upkeep and troubleshooting of both physical and virtual server environments, such as Windows Server and VMware.
Monitor and enhance network performance and security through proactive maintenance and configuration of firewalls, routers, and switches.
Implement and manage VMware virtualization solutions to maximize resource efficiency and system availability.
Work closely with the IT team to establish and enforce security protocols, backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Offer technical support to end-users, addressing and resolving complex issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Systems Administration or a similar role.
Solid understanding of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022).
Proficiency in Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
Strong background in server administration, encompassing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
Familiarity with networking principles, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and VPNs.
Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and virtual machine management.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
