If you are good at planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff, this role might be right for you. Major responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible

  • Ensure deliverables of self and team meet client expectations

  • Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports

  • Complete tasks beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

  • Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation

  • Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time

  • Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

  • Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

  • Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

  • Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies Requirements - High attention to detail

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

  • Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Proven knowledge of Financial Statement

  • Well-founded grasp of CPA

  • Experience with Financial Statement

  • Government contracts experience desired

  • Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Analyze Financial Statements experience preferred

  • Command of month end closings

  • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

  • Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
