Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Chatsworth, California

Description

We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Chatsworth, California (100% on site) In the role, you will oversee all aspects of the bookkeeping process, including the preparation of financial statements, month and year-end close procedures, journal entries, and collaboration with our CPA for semi-annual financial reporting. This role requires proficiency in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and experience working with factors and letters of credit. This is a full time, permanent placement job but the employees work 4 days each week and has each Friday off, paid!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Prepare, post, and review journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

• Process weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and timely payment to employees.

• Oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including invoicing, collections, and payment processing.

• Work closely with the CPA to prepare for semi-annual financial reviews and audits.

• Manage relationships with factoring companies and oversee letters of credit as needed.

• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash flow reporting.

• Generate regular financial reports for management and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to prepare and manage Annual Budget

• Expertise in Cash Flow Analysis

• Experience in Month End Close and Year End Closings

• Ability to prepare Monthly Financial Statements and Year-end Financial Statements

• Skills in creating Cash Flow Forecasts and Cash Flow Statements

• Experience in Budgeting and Budgeting - Forecasting

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role.
