We are looking for a strong packaging/Graphic Designer for designing package refreshes. This Graphic Designer will be taking projects from conception to completion stages and has a strong ability to work independently. This Graphic Designer should understand how packaging communication works and be able to meet deliverables on time. This Graphic Designer needs to be able to concept, hand draw, and hand letter and have strong knowledge of Photoshop and illustrator.

POSITION SUMMARY

To help design packaging to support new products, ongoing package improvements, package refreshes through to fully worked-out design solutions. Works with a high level of independence, according to project briefing, creative vision and direction in close co-operation with the Packaging Production Manager & Creative Director. Must have the ability to work within tight deadlines and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1-3 Years experience in developing innovative and fresh logos, brand identities, and packaging.

• Maintain current knowledge of today's hot trends to transcend into the brands.

• The Graphic Designer position will help develop design solutions that communicate, inform and persuade the consumer.

• Strong hands-on ability requiring Production Designer to have knowledge of how to prepare files from concept to final production for the history of the project.

• The Graphic Designer will consult with Packaging Production Manager, Creative Director and Project Managers mapping out project goals, design ideas and direction to meet the objectives.

• Ability to take existing projects to final comps; mechanically able to prepare art for final output.

• Designer may be involved in attending photo shoots.

• Prepare POG layouts & mock-ups, following branding guidelines as needed.

• Develop and execute design concepts for packaging, ensuring alignment with the overall branding strategy.

• Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop to create engaging design elements.

• Exhibit expertise in hand lettering and hand drawing to create unique design elements.

• Implement a cutesy design aesthetic for projects, capturing the essence of the project in your designs.

• Create advertisements and brochures that effectively communicate our brand message.

• Utilize your skills in 2D Drawing and 2D Illustration to enhance our design efforts.

• Maintain brand awareness in all design projects, ensuring consistency across different platforms.

• Work on digital design projects, incorporating innovative design techniques.

• Design packaging that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional, enhancing the overall customer experience.

• Continually update and improve design skills, staying aware of current design trends and techniques.

Requirements

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED

• Fully MAC computer literate

• Min. 1-3 years of prior graphic production design and packaging experience

• Packaging experience a must

• Proficient in Adobe Design Suite

• Strong organizational skills

• Strong time management; ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines concurrently

• Ability to work within a team environment and independently with minimal supervision

• Shows extraordinary attention to process and detail

• Ability to professionally present work to internal group with a positive attitude

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Works well under pressure

• Toy industry a plus

• Pre-press knowledge a strong plus
