Description

We are offering long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the service industry. The role is based in the Chattanooga area and involves a variety of accounting duties in a dynamic environment with multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage cash business operations, ensuring accuracy in all transactions

• Handle and maintain records of contracts and agreements with wholesalers, vendors, and other business partners

• Manage accounts related to food and beverage, retail, and other income-generating activities

• Manage and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process

• Handle accounts receivable duties, including maintaining accurate customer records and resolving inquiries

• Use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data

• Perform cash reconciliations and ensure accuracy of cash activity records

Requirements

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired

• Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

• Proficient in Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with Journal Entries

• Intermediate to Advance Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Month End Close

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skilled in Cash Reconciliations

• Knowledge of Cash Activity

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
