We are actively searching for an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Manager to join our manufacturing team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In this role, you will be handling the comprehensive cycle of accounts payable, from the review of purchase orders to cash disbursements and vendor statement reconciliation. Additionally, you will be tasked with managing accounts receivable, from sales orders to invoicing and cash application. This position is based in our office onsite work each week.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to adhere to company guidelines and ensure SOX compliance.
• Manage the monthly closing of financial records and post month-end information, ensuring the accuracy of supporting financial statements.
• Prepare weekly payment batches for the finance team's review and resolve any purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
• Review employee expense reports and enter them into the reporting system(s) as required.
• Develop schedules for recurring payments and other contract obligations, maintaining historical records by scanning documents.
• Collaborate closely with Assistant Controller to maintain the company's financial health.
• Develop 1099 tax forms and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements • Proven experience in the field of Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Account Coding methods
• Strong understanding of Accrual Accounting principles
• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform all essential Accounting Functions
• Expertise in Data Processing related to accounting
• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
• Manufacturing industry experience is preferred
• Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
