Job Description:

Seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Commercial Collections Analyst to join the finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record of successfully managing commercial collections processes. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders across our business units to ensure timely and efficient collection of outstanding receivables.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis of customer accounts to identify delinquencies and determine appropriate collection strategies.

  • Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to collect outstanding payments and resolve payment discrepancies.

  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers while maintaining positive relationships.

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on account aging and credit risk.

  • Work closely with sales, customer service, and other internal teams to resolve billing issues and disputes in a timely manner.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on collection activities, account status, and collection trends to management.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the collections function.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to commercial collections.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial collections or accounts receivable management.

  • Strong understanding of commercial credit and collections processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and analysis.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a multi-business unit environment.

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Certification in Credit and Collections Management (CCCM) or similar credentials.
