This search is being conducted by Steve Spinello.
We are looking for a Controller to join our client based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Controller will oversee all financial aspects of the company, including preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and key accounting procedures. They will also manage intercompany transactions and ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accounting and finance functions, including general ledger, accounts payable
• Coordinate the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements.
• Manage intercompany transactions and the consolidation process.
• Handle ACH and wire transfers
• Collaborate with the CFO on supporting external auditor efforts.
• Maintain a system of accounts and records on all transactions and assets.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial and accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Manage the month-end close process for several entities
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience
• Experience with assisting with the audit process
• Demonstrated ability to adjust Journal Entries
• Knowledgeable in preparing and reviewing Journal Entries
• Experience in Month End Close processes
• Expertise in Financial Statement Preparation
• Familiarity with Treasury Activities
• Experience in Intercompany Accounting procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
