Robert Half Customer Service Representative in CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee
Description
Customer Service representative needed to add to a small team at one of Chattanooga's oldest and well respected manufacturing / distribution companies.
Essential Duties:
Perform first point of contact duties for daily order management activities
Work with other company departments to reconcile accounts receivable and service exceptions
Process orders via EDI, Email, and phone
Work with pricing, inventory availability, shipment dates, shipment schedules, and other specifics regarding orders
Process credit applications
Update customer pricing files, quotes, commissions, and customer expectations
Prepare and maintain customer and broker files
Skills Needed:
Proficiency with MS Office products (MS Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
Enjoy problem solving, multi-tasking, working with systems and working with people
Technical ability to work with MRP systems and accounting software
Strong attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday thru Friday
Dress Code: Casual

Requirements - Upbeat, positive attitude and an approach to work rooted in professionalism
Customer service and office administrative skills
Proficient with computers and technology platforms
- Foundational knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, e.g. ACT!, Illustrator, Highrise, and Insightly
2+ years of past relevant experience
General familiarity with MRP ERP System
Background working with EDI
Foundational knowledge in Price Quotes
Microsoft Excel experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX
Adeptness in credit approvals
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated knowledge of logistics
Credit Application experience highly desired
Order entry experience highly preferred
No stranger to performing extensive research to resolve complex customer inquiries
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
Ability to exude confidence, knowledge, and empathy when interacting with internal and external partners and clients/customers
