Robert Half Database Analyst in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly analytical Operations Reporting Analyst to support the reporting and data analysis needs of various departments within our Chattanooga Operations center. The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical skills to manage large data sets and analytical prowess to interpret such data for management decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the creation and implementation of essential operational reports.

  • Analyze and relay operational trends, key performance indicators, and other crucial insights to leadership to help improve performance and decision-making processes.

  • Utilize visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel to create meaningful presentations of data.

  • Modify, distribute, and maintain current daily, weekly, and monthly reports and analyses.

  • Handle ad-hoc requests for reporting and data analysis as the principle contact.

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by validating and analyzing the database and report any data discrepancies to the relevant teams.

  • Summarize complex data, ideas, and concepts into succinct, digestible reports and analyses.

  • Develop automation strategies for extracting, preparing, and publishing reports.

  • Manage large data across diverse platforms and maintain and update complex Excel spreadsheets reporting contact center KPIs.

Job Requirements:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • Robust experience with MS Excel, especially handling large complex data.

  • Excellent communication skills to engage productively with stakeholders, business leaders, and IT staff.

  • Strong analytical thinking capability and expert understanding of assigned operational areas.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • At least 2 years of experience in data analytics, data management, or operational planning.

  • Familiarity with data architecture and data warehousing.

  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with applications such as Oracle and SQL Server.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business Operations, IT, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, or similar fields.

  • Knowledge of tools like MS Office, Tableau, Power BI, Oracle, SQL Server, and programming languages.

  • A team player with excellent multitasking abilities.

  • High level of analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Experience in providing ad-hoc and standard reports to various levels of an organization.

    Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Support assigned operational areas in the following areas:

o Development and implementation of key reports.

o Analysis and explanation of operational trends, KPIs, and other insights to assist leadership in understanding performance and making key decisions.

o Building data visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, Excel or other software.

o Ongoing modifications and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and analyses that currently exist.

o Act as the day-to-day lead on ad-hoc requests for reporting or analysis.

• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of reported data through database validation and analysis. Report any data issues to the appropriate teams.

• Summarize complex data, ideas, and concepts into meaningful and concise reports and analyses.

• Develop data automation solutions in extracting, prepping, and publishing reports and analyses.

• Manage large data across a variety of platforms.

• Maintain, update, and distribute complex Excel spreadsheets that report critical contact center KPI’s.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Extensive experience in MS Excel, including working with large complex datasheets.

• Ability to communicate with key stakeholders and business leaders in a positive manner utilizing strong written and verbal communication skills. This includes the ability to communicate at a technical level with IT.

• Must be able to think analytically and develop an expert understanding of the assigned operational areas with the ability to speak to findings and results directly with a stakeholder, within meetings, or through structured presentations.

• Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment, returning results and requests with a quick turnaround.

Preferred:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in data analytics, data management, or operational planning.

• Knowledge of data architecture with database warehousing experience.

• Understanding of SQL and application of it across multiple platforms (Oracle and SQL Server).

• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business Operations, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance or related field.

• Familiarity with applications and platforms including MS Office, Tableau, Power BI, Oracle, SQL Server. Programming languages would be an enhanced skill.

• Team oriented and a self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Must have excellent communication skills and independent analytical skills to identify and communicate thoughts, ideas, and concepts.

• Strong attention to detail to appropriately manage the complexity of the job requirements.

• Ability to think logically when working with databases and designing structured queries.
