Robert Half is working with a fast-growing, dynamic team looking for a Financial Analyst who will be a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This role is with a company in the Manufacturing industry. This Financial Analyst role is a contract employment opportunity and is located in the Chattanooga, Tennessee, area. To succeed in this Financial Analyst position, you will need to be comfortable with conducting financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measuring, analyzing and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans. You will also be expected to advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Understand and communicate internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

  • Work closely with business partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

  • Research performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

  • Maintain weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

  • Facilitate effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

  • This position would best fit a flexible individual who has experience managing expectations and feels comfortable working with a large amount of information

  • Compile and supervise forecasting reports

  • Watch over annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectation

    Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Foundational knowledge in ERP systems

  • Advance Microsoft Excel knowledge

  • Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience a plus)

  • Skill with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Statement

  • Solid understanding of account analysis

  • Budgeting knowledge

  • Adeptness in financial analysis

  • Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

  • Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
