Robert Half Financial Analyst in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Description

We are seeking a talented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide actionable insights to support informed decision-making. This role will involve financial modeling, performance analysis, and forecasting to help drive strategic initiatives and optimize financial performance across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making

  • Assist in the development of financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and cost-saving initiatives

  • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators to identify trends and potential areas for improvement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights to support business objectives

  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to senior management as needed

  • Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting financial performance

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification (CFA, CPA) preferred

  • Proven experience as a financial analyst or similar role

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using Excel; experience with financial planning software/systems a plus

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
