While each project is a bit different, the key responsibilities for this role include:
Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Manage daily and weekly accounting transactions, including AP, AR and Payroll
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management
Play a role in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Maintain monthly payment schedules
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed
Requirements
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
1-3 years of hands on Bookkeeper experience
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Proven knowledge of ERP systems i.e. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Budget management experience
