Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Description We are seeking a diligent and committed Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in the government industry located in CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee, 37406-4302, United States. As a HR Manager, your responsibilities will include developing recruitment strategies, overseeing onboarding programs, managing employee retention programs, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will also be responsible for HR leadership, addressing employee relations issues, and conducting wage analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to attract top-tier talent

• Oversee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth transition for new hires

• Create and manage programs to maintain a motivated and engaged workforce

• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans

• Ensure the organization's adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

• Oversee the Drug-Free Workplace program and ensure compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988

• Provide guidance and support to the HR team and other department managers

• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures

• Conduct employee performance reviews and develop professional development plans

• Address and resolve employee relations issues in a timely manner

• Conduct wage analysis and ensure competitive compensation packages

• Develop and maintain salary structures and pay policies Requirements • Proficiency in managing hiring processes

• Demonstrated ability to handle employee relations

• Experience with annual compensation planning and execution

• Proven knowledge of benefit functions and management

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Familiarity with compliance regulations and standards within the government sector

• Leadership and team management abilities

• Ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy

• Experience in developing and monitoring overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures

• Ability to nurture a positive working environment

• Sound knowledge of HR systems and databases

• Competence in understanding and applying labor laws and regulations

• Prior experience in the government sector is preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

• Professional certification in Human Resources (such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is advantageous.
