Description

We are partnering with a large medical practice in the area to staff a large data entry referral project. The project revolves around accurately entering diagnosis codes, provider information, and other vital details from external healthcare providers referring patients to the practice. Ideal candidates would have a keen eye for detail, speedy and accurate data entry skills, and the ability to make discerning decisions independently. Knowledge of medical terminology and coding is advantageous, though not a must.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter referral provider's information and diagnosis codes into our system.

• Prior to final submission, verify the accuracy of the data entered.

• Identify, report, and make necessary corrections to any errors found in the data.

• Ensure timely completion of data entry tasks to meet strict deadlines.

• Adhere to security and confidentiality standards to safeguard medical records.

• Monitor high volume data entry tasks and take necessary action to maintain efficiency.

• Utilize skills in Data Entry and Epic EMR for accurate and efficient data management.

Requirements • Proficient in data entry and data management

• Familiarity with Epic EMR (Electronic Medical Records) software is necessary

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in entering medical data

• Ability to handle large volumes of data and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with medical professionals and staff

• Capable of maintaining confidentiality of sensitive medical information

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

• Basic understanding of medical terminologies and coding systems

• Demonstrate problem-solving skills and ability to handle data discrepancies

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required

• Prior experience in a medical data entry role would be advantageous.
