Description

The Sales Support Specialist will serve as a critical liaison between homeowners, contractors, and vendors to facilitate a seamless ordering process for custom home construction and remodeling projects. This role requires coordinating the selection and procurement of various home construction items such as windows, doors, and interior trim, ensuring adherence to budget constraints. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong multitasking abilities, and superior communication and follow-up skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Coordination:

Act as the primary point of contact for homeowners during the selection process of construction and remodeling items.

Review and discuss available options for products like windows, doors, and interior trim with homeowners, providing expert advice and ensuring selections align with their preferences and project specifications.

Budget Management:

Ensure that homeowners' selections remain within the allocated budget for each item category.

Provide alternative options if selected items exceed the budget, maintaining a balance between quality and cost.

Order Placement:

Place orders with vendors once selections are finalized, ensuring accuracy in order details and specifications.

Coordinate with vendors to confirm order receipt and expected delivery timelines.

Communication and Follow-up:

Maintain open and consistent communication with homeowners, contractors, and vendors throughout the ordering process.

Provide timely updates to homeowners and contractors on the status of orders and any potential issues or delays.

Follow up with vendors to ensure orders are processed and delivered as scheduled.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

Keep detailed records of all communications, selections, orders, and budgets.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports on order statuses, budget adherence, and any discrepancies or issues encountered.

Problem Resolution:

Address and resolve any issues that arise during the ordering process, including product availability, delivery delays, or budget overruns.

Work collaboratively with all parties to find acceptable solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in sales, customer service, or a related field is a plus.

Experience: Proven experience in a sales support or customer service role, preferably within the construction or home remodeling industry.

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of three years of experience in a Sales Support role within the Wholesale Distribution industry

• Proficient in using CRM software to manage customer relationships and sales processes

• Strong command over Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and sales forecasting

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook for managing communication and scheduling

• Exceptional customer service skills, with a proven track record of resolving queries and issues effectively

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships

• Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
