Description
Robert Half currently has an excellent opportunity in the Financial Services industry for an entry-level Accountant. Your duties in this position will include entering data, reviewing financial statements, and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets. You will report to the Accounting Manager, be a vital member of a dynamic team, and have the potential for career growth. For this long-term contract position, you should be willing to work in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
What you get to do every day
Prepare journal entries monthly
Researching and correcting account discrepancies
Carrying out alternate duties and taking part in special projects as assigned
Perform data entry
Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts
Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Facilitating audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
Requirements
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
1+ years of relevant accounting experience at minimum
Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Bank reconciliations experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
