Your responsibilities in this role:
All day-to-day activity related to accounts payable, account receivables, cash management, and client trust accounts.
Supervise petty cash distribution either directly or through delegation.
Maintain sufficient cash balances in all operating accounts and manage excess funds into an investment account as needed.
Supervise the input of all timesheets.
Supervise the distribution and processing of all prebills.
Perform month end and year end processing of the accounting system, either directly or through delegation.
Maintain general ledger accounts.
Coordinate with outside accountants in a timely fashion.
Supervise payroll data entry and reconcile monthly payroll expenses.
Analyze monthly financial and time/billing reports. Supervise processing of reports.
The ideal Controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA preferred.
Other requirements for the Controller position include and are not limited to:
5++ years’ experience preferably in a law firm
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
Strong analytical skills
