Robert Half Payroll HR Manager in Cherry Hill, New Jersey

Description

Robert Half is looking to staff a Payroll HR Manager with our well-respected client! This Payroll HR Manager will help achieve standards that are necessary for growth within the financial department and will be responsible for work on tax-related tasks, such as W2 forms, preparing reports and updating policies. If you are a dynamic Payroll HR Manager with excellent communication, proven leadership, and are deadline driven, this may be the role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee payroll processing from start to finish, including the calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits.

  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing on a regular basis.

  • Manage and reconcile payroll discrepancies, addressing and resolving any issues promptly.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax laws and wage and hour regulations.

  • Assist with preparation and filing of required payroll reports and tax documents.

  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Maintain and update employee records related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status.

  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401k retirement plans, and other insurances offered.

  • Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll and benefits-related inquiries.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.

  • Utilize payroll software and systems effectively, recommending upgrades or changes as needed.

    Requirements

The ideal Payroll HR Manager candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

Other requirements for the Payroll HR Manager position include and are not limited to:

  • 2+ years’ experience in payroll administration, with a strong understanding of payroll software and systems.

  • Working knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and regulations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.

  • Must possess strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.

  • Attention to detail is crucial for success.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
