Description
An Accounting Manager position is available through Robert Half Finance on an urgent basis at a rapidly expanding and on-the-rise company. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. The ideal candidate should be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. Located in the Greater Philadelphia area, this Accounting Manager position would be on a full-time basis.
Key responsibilities:
•Review and approval of general ledger journal entries, ensuring entries are of the appropriate type
•Monitor the close process ensuring that accountants and senior accountants are on target to meet closing deadlines.
•Discuss issues identified in the close with supervisor.
•Review and monitor balance sheet account reconciliation process including the account reconciliation tracking log.
•Ensure fixed assets are kept up-to-date for additions and disposals and that depreciation expense is reconciled to fixed asset system reports.
•Supervise team to ensure account variance analysis is completed as part of the closing process.
•Supervise team to ensure tax filings are completed in time to allow for a review and check request processing and signature.
Requirements
The ideal Accounting Manager candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.
Other requirements for the Accounting Manager position include and are not limited to:
•8++ year’s of accounting experience and previous manager experience required, healthcare experience preferred
•Audit and Oracle experience highly preferred
•Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, hands on knowledge of Oracle and BlackLine
•Able to work independently and as a part of a team
•Strong organizational skills preferred
•Critical thinking and problem solving
