Description
Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities
Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry; review invoices for appropriate documentation (3-way match) prior to payment
Facilitates payment of vendors, including reviewing purchase orders, resolving discrepancies
Manage AP inbox, download/record/file the invoices/Bills in centralized location and fulfill payments upon due date
Communicate with vendors for account statements, reconcile transactions/bills, and send weekly remittances after posting the payments
Generate daily or weekly reports to distribute to different departments
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs
Must be able to learn other accounting software systems
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records
Education and Experience:
3 – 5 years of recent Accounts Payable experience
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel & Office skills
3-Way Match processing experience (manufacturing setting preferred)
Associates degree or higher education in Accounting. AP EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED IN LIEU OF EDUCATION.
