Job Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the full accounts payable cycle.
Record and upload all accounts payables invoices for separate entities, and vendors, into the company’s expense allocation system.
Review all accounts payables invoices for accuracy, approvals, and appropriate supporting documentation.
Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret workflow processes for vendor invoices.
Review allocation of invoices and general ledger accounts payable postings in accordance with company accounting policies.
Monitor management company and fund invoice correspondence.
Process and organize all approved vendor invoices for payment.
Communicate effectively with internal and external vendors regarding invoicing, review/approvals, and payment status.
Maintain vendor files including all required tax information.
Assist with expense reimbursement review/approvals ensuring expenses are within policy, properly documented, coded, and processed in a timely manner.
Generate and distribute annual 1099 reporting package.
Assist in month-end and quarter-end close process.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, or similar role, with preference given to experience at a private debt or equity, fund administrator or public accounting organization.
In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles and accounting standards.
Experience with general ledger and account reconciliations.
Familiarity with accounting software. Experience with NetSuite or QuickBooks preferred, however, not required.
Advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat PDF software and Microsoft Office products (especially Excel).
Knowledge of electronic AP processing (EDI/ACH) and wires.
Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Strict attention to detail and strong mathematical skills.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
