Robert Half AR Financial Coordinator in Chicago, Illinois

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an AR Financial Coordinator in the healthcare industry, specifically dealing with hospitals and social assistance. This role is based in Chicago, Illinois. As an AR Financial Coordinator, you will be handling various tasks related to accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and customer service, among others.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Maintain detailed records of nursing facilities' books and records.

• Responsible for submitting admit packets into Medi and handling admitting and discharging processes.

• Send reminders to facilities for missing documents.

• Prepare monthly revenue schedules and post cash deposits daily.

• Handle and update daily census and prepare trust fund deposit/withdrawals.

• Maintain an organized electronic filing system for financial files.

• Foster open and effective communication with other departments.

• Handle special projects as assigned by management.

• Responsible for creating, validating, and billing Medicare, Medicaid, and Insurance UB04s.

• Input month end ancillary charges.

• Process refunds and create and print monthly invoice statements for residents.

• Handle veterans and hospice billing. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Experience with billing, cash applications, and cash collections is necessary

• Familiarity with commercial collections is a must

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is essential

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes is required

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed

• Must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Must be able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality

• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills is required

• Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
