Robert Half Attorney/Lawyer in Chicago, Illinois

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer in Chicago, Illinois. As an Attorney/Lawyer, you'll be expected to perform a variety of tasks related to employment and compensation agreements within the legal department. You'll also be responsible for providing advice regarding contract, compensation, and regulatory matters, and will serve as a liaison between various departments.

Responsibilities:

• Create, revise, and manage employment agreements and compensation plans, specifically for sales-related employees.

• Provide guidance on contract, compensation, and regulatory matters.

• Create and manage templates for compensation plans.

• Serve as a bridge between the legal department and business operations, finance, human resources, compliance, and licensing departments.

• Oversee key projects to address legal and compliance needs.

• Assist in managing additional work in the legal department as required.

• Use Adobe Acrobat to draft contracts and agreements.

• Utilize your drafting skills to create comprehensive documents.

• Prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively to meet tight deadlines.

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and learn the business operations.

• Use your analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues. Requirements • Applicant must hold a valid license to practice law in the jurisdiction of employment.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is required.

• Strong drafting skills are essential for this role.

• Prior experience in drafting contracts and agreements is mandatory.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.

• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Applicant should have sound negotiation and persuasion skills.

• Familiarity with current legal trends and regulations is required.

• Must maintain client confidentiality at all times.

• Good organizational and time management skills are necessary.

• Must have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work is required.

• A high degree of professional ethics and integrity is expected.

• Must have the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
