Robert Half Billing Supervisor/Manager in Chicago, Illinois
Description
-Ensures accurate observance of billing and e-billing requirements and processes
-Prepares ad-hoc billing reports for internal and external clients
-Ensures timely invoice submission to clients, based on established timelines
-Creates and distributes ad hoc operational and billing reports to management as requested
-Works with Revenue Management Department to identify, review and recommend changes to automate or enhance timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency of billing processes
-Supports internal and external auditors as requested
-Supervises billing staff, recommends any necessary training/changes
-Provides feedback during the staff performance appraisals, develops performance management objectives to address concerns, drives engagement and retention; participates in team hiring and separation decisions
-Delegate’s assignments and projects to staff as appropriate
Requirements
-B.A. in accounting or finance or equivalent accounting experience preferred
-8+ years of legal billing/receivables experience and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and billing software
-2+ years of supervisory experience in similar role
-Advanced experience in e-billing, Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
